Swan
Valley Farmstay Package
Enjoy a mini farmstay in
the Swan Valley,
Perth’s original agricultural area. While in the district visit a local fruit
grower, a vineyard and enjoy some other activities. This package is well suited
for family groups.
Day
1. Perth
to Swan Valley: (D)
Arrive for our
farmstay at
The River Retreat. Help feed the animals and collect the eggs before enjoying dinner. After, join a torchlight walk to the “Bush Camp” where you can
join in the fun of story telling and billy tea around an open fire. A special "Didge
after Dark" aboriginal culture show may be held if numbers permit.
Day
2. Swan
Valley to Perth: (B, L)
Enjoy a
continental breakfast basket and
then feed farm animals. Visit Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery to browse and purchase Aboriginal arts and crafts, learn how to
play the Didgeridoo and about the traditional tools and weapons. Then
join in The Outback Show and a delicious lunch.
During the Nature trail learn of native plants on a guided 30 minute (500m) bushwalk
with your own guide. Afterward you have free time to relax in the rural
atmosphere, walk around the farm, stroll through the small hobby orchard, enjoy
the riverbank area, while children use up some energy on the playground.
At the
end of the day you depart or return coach trip to Perth.
